♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over Andaman & Nicobar islands; at many places over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, Marathawada, Tamilnadu and Kerala; at a few places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra & Kutch, Konkan & Goa, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh and coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over rest parts of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Lakshadweep, where weather remained mainly dry. The amounts of rainfall (3 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Mayabandar and Long Island34; Kota14, Mount Abu10; Deesa and Baripada9 each; Car Nicobar, Portblair and Kochi7 each; Ujjain and Ratlam6 each; Rajkot and Tiruchirapalli5 each; Dhar, Salem, Alleppy, Kottayam, Karipur, Diamond Harbour, hut Bay and Contai4 each and Parbhani, Raisen, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Gandhinagar, Nanded, Nahan, Mangalore, Cuddalore and Conoor3 each.
♦ TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are below normal by 24°C over some parts of Assam, West Bengal, Odisha and Tamilnadu. They are above normal by 47°C over many parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and by 23°C over some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathawada, Telangana and Karnataka and near normal over rest parts
of the country.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over most parts of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Bay of Bengal and over some parts of south Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Andaman Sea and southeast Arabian Sea and over isolated pockets of Tamilnadu and Kerala. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and
Bihar.
