♦   RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers occurred at most places over  Andaman & Nicobar islands;  at  many places  over east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Gangetic West  Bengal;  at a few places over Jharkhand,   Gujarat region, Tamilnadu and at isolated places  over east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam & Meghalaya, Manipur, Konkan, Andhra Pradesh  and Tamilnadu. Weather  remained  mainly dry/dry  over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of  yesterday were:  K Paramathy­7; Satna­5; Kolkata, Portblair and Mayabandar­4 each, Balasore and Daltonganj­3 each; Narsapur, Kakinada and Gondia­2 each  and   Bhaunagar, Pendra, Keonjhargarh, Hutbay, Narsinghpur,  Mandla, Umaria and Mahuva­1 each.

♦  TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures were above normal by 4­6°C over some parts   of Jammu & Kashmir and  Tamilnadu by 2­3°C over some parts of west Rajasthan, coastal Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Marathawada and Kerala.   They   were  below  normal  by  2­5°C  over  some  pockets  of   Uttar Pradesh,   Madhya Pradesh,  Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya and near normal over rest parts of the country. 

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of  south Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh,   south  Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh,   interior Karnataka,  Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, northwest, central & southeast Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and southeast Arabian sea.  Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
