TEMPERATURES: Yesterday, heat wave conditions prevailed over isolated pocket of northwest Rajasthan and Haryana. Minimum temperatures are above normal by 36°
C over many parts of Western Himalayan region, Punjab and Haryana and some parts of north Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim. They are normal or below normal over remaining parts of the country.

RAINFALL: Rainfall occurred at most places over Konkan & Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala; at many places over Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Jharkhand, northeastern States, Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat and south Madhya Pradesh and at one or two places over Bihar, north Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (4 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Dahanu20, Mumbai (SCZ)18, Surat16, Mahabaleshwar14, Ratnagiri13, Bulsar, Vengurla and Mumbai(Colaba)9 each, Harnai7, Bhira, Karwar and Majbat6 each, Goa (Panjim) and Jabalpur5 each and Shajapur, Jagdalpur, Honawar, Uluberia and Carnicobar4 each.

Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, north & adjoining central Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea and north & eastcentral Arabian Sea and Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
