TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are above normal by 23° C over some parts of east Rajasthan, interior Maharashtra and south Chhattisgarh. They are below normal by 23° C at isolated pockets of Haryana and Konkan and near normal over rest parts of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 14.8°C has been recorded at Dhar (Madhya Pradesh) in plains of the country.
RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at one or two places over Jharkhand, Odisha and Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry over rest of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more )recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Kailashahar15, Coochbehar7, Gangtok4, Tadong, Guwahati, Silchar, Lengpui and Perikulam3 each, Cherrapunji, Nedumbassery, Gulbarga and Jalpaiguri2 each and Madurai, Dibrugarh, Imphal, Cochin, Hut Bay, Kohima, Goalpara and Valpari1each.
CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of northwest Jammu & Kashmir, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, south Bay of Bengal and southeast Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of rest western Himalayan region, Punjab, south peninsula and rest northeastern states.
