TEMPERATURES: Today, minimum temperatures are above normal by 24° C over some parts of western Himalayan region, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha. They are below normal by 23° C over some parts of northeastern states and Jammu & Kashmir and near normal over rest parts of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 20.2°C has been recorded at Nazibabad (Uttar Pradesh) in plains of the country.
RAINFALL:Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over northeastern states and at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir and at one or two places over Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more ) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Gangtok9; Agartala7; Tadong5; Silchar, Lengpui and Kohima4 each; Goalpada, Imphal, Guwahati and Tezpur3 each; Quazigund, Jamshedpur, Bankura, Cherapunji and Halflong2 each and Pahalgaon, Kukarnag, Coochbehar, Shillong, Tangla, Lumding, Long Island and Kalimpong1 each.
CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Mizoram, Tripura, Kerala, Tamilnadu, south Karnataka, south Bay of Bengal, Comorin Area and southeast Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of western Himalayan region, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, rest northeastern states and rest south peninsular India.
