TEMPERATURE: Minimum temperatures are above normal by 57° C over many parts of Haryana, Rajasthan and north Gujarat; by 24° C over many parts of Jammu division of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and SubHimalayan West & Sikkim. They are below normal by 23° C over some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka and near normal over rest parts of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 6.6°C has been recorded at Etawa ( Uttar Pradesh) in plains of the country. ♦ RAINFALL :Rain/snow has occurred at many places over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh and at a few places over Uttarakhand. Rain/thundershowers has occurred at a few places over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. Mainly dry weather prevailed over rest of the country. The significant amounts of rainfall ( In cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Katra4, Bhuntar, Bhaderwa and Ganganagar3 each, Kupwara and Jammu 2 each and Manali, Quazigund, Amritsar, Shimla and Tehri1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, northwest Madhya Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh and south Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over Punjab, Haryana, & Delhi, Rajasthan and rest Uttar Pradesh.
