♦  FOG: At 0830 hours IST of today, dense fog conditions have abated from most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and west Uttar Pradesh. However, it has been observed over some parts of east Uttar Pradesh and isolated  pockets  of Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh  and Sub­Himalayan West Bengal. The   stations where
visibility has been recorded 200 m or less at 0830 hours IST of today are: Ganganagar, Hissar, Bhiwani, Chandigarh, Ambala, Pantnagar, Aligarh, Bareilly, Hardoi, Sultanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Gazipur, Barabanki, Lucknow,  Kanpur,  Fursatganj, Balia, Coochbehar, Jalpaiguri, Kalingpong and Majbat.

♦  TEMPERATURES: Cold wave conditions are prevailing over many parts of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh; some parts of east Rajasthan and Bihar and  isolated pockets of  west  Rajasthan, Punjab,  north  Madhya Maharashtra,  Vidarbha  and West  Bengal. The  lowest minimum temperature of ­1.0°C has been recorded at Churu   (Rajasthan) and Agra (Uttar Pradesh) in plains of the country.

♦  RAINFALL:  (From  0830  hours IST  of  yesterday to  0830  hours IST  of today): Rainfall  has occurred at   at one or two places over south Tamilnadu,   Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha,  Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. Weather remained mainly dry over rest of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm )   recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Minicoy­4, Tuticorin and Pamban­2 each and Itanagar­1.

♦  CLOUDS: Kalpana­1 Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of south Tamilnadu, south Kerala, south Bay of Bengal, southeast Arabian sea and  Comorin area. Low/medium clouds are seen over  parts of western Himalayan region,  Odisha,  Vidarbha, north Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and rest Tamilnadu and Kerala.

♦  The   low pressure area over Indian ocean & adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal now lies over comorin area and neighbourhood and associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends upto mid tropospheric levels.
♦  The upper air cyclonic circulation over Assam & Meghalaya and neighbourhood in lower levels persists.
♦  The upper air cyclonic circulation over Odisha and adjoining Chhattisgarh in lower levels persists.
♦  A feeble western disturbance would affect western Himalayan region during next 2 days.
