TEMPERATURE: Maximum temperatures were above normal by 46° C over many parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, interior Maharashtra and interior Andhra Pradesh and few places over Jammu & Kashmir; they were 13° C above normal over rest parts of the country except some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, southwest Rajasthan, south Gujarat, Konkan & Goa and south Kerala where they were near normal. The highest maximum temperature of 35.5°C was recorded at Satara (Maharashtra) in plains of the country.
RAINFALL: Weather remained mainly dry over the country.
CLOUDS: Kalpana1  Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds are seen over parts of northern Jammu & Kashmir. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of western Himalayan region, south Rajasthan, Gujarat, west Madhya Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh.
♦ The western disturbances as an upper air system over north Pakistan and neighbourhood persists.
♦ The induced cyclonic circulation extending upto 2.1 Km above mean sea level over central Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan persists.
♦ No cold wave/ cold day conditions observed over the country during past 24 hours.
