♦ FOG: At 0830 hrs IST of today, Fog/dense fog observed over some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, northwest Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Assam. The stations where visibility has been reported less than 200 m of today are: Ganganagar, Bhiwani, Gwalior, Datia, Khajuraho, Orai, Hamirpur, Allahabad, Majbat and Tezpur.
♦ TEMPERATURES: Cold wave conditions prevailed over some parts of Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh and isolated pockets of east Madhya Pradesh and Gangetic West Bengal. Minimum temperatures are below normal by 47° C over many parts of Vidarbha, east Madhya Pradesh, north Chhattisgarh, interior Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal and isolated pockets of Bihar and west Madhya Pradesh and by 23° C over rest parts of above regions and some parts of Gujarat, east Rajasthan, Telangana & Assam & Meghalaya and Isolated pockets of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. They are above normal by 23° C over some parts of Tamilnadu, Kerala, coastal Karnataka, Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The lowest minimum temperature of 1.0°C has been recorded at Narnaul (Haryana) in the plains of the country.
♦ RAINFALL:Rainfall has occurred at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at one or two places over Tamilnadu and SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amount of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Mayabandar3 and Portblair, Pamban, Vedaranniyam, Hutbay and Nancowry1each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over southeast Bay of Bengal, south Andaman Sea and southeast Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Arunachal Pradesh, south Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamilnadu.
♦ An easterly wave would affect extreme south peninsular India during next 3 days.
♦ The western disturbance as an upper air system lies over north Pakistan and neighbourhood.
