♦ TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are appreciably above normal at many places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Odisha, Jharkhand and Karnataka and appreciably below normal at a few places over west Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. They are above normal at a few places over Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Assam & Meghalaya. The lowest minimum temperature of 10.6°C has been recorded at Guna ( west Madhya Pradesh) in the plain of the country.
♦ RAINFALL: Rainfall occurred at many places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura; at a few places over Odisha and at one or two places over Assam & Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Gangetic west Bengal, coastal Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Puducherry and Kerala. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm and more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Halflong5, Chandbali and Silchar4 each; Imphal and Koraput3 each, Canning and Cherrapunji2 each; and Kailashar, Kolkata, (DumDum) Balasore, Haldia, Agartala, Kohima, Pallayankottai and Shirali1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of coastal Karnataka,southeast Arabian sea, westcentral & south Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over western Himalayan region, Bihar,coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, northeastern states and south peninsular India.
♦ The upper air cyclonic circulation over Gulf of Mannar now lies over coastal Karnataka and neighbourhood extending upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.
♦ A trough in lower levels runs from Assam & Meghalaya to coastal Karnataka across Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Odisha and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
♦ Generally dry air prevails over northwest and central India.
♦ A fresh western disturbance as an upper air trough would affect Western Himalayan region by 9th of November.
