The tropical storm "GAEMI" in the middle South China Sea was centered about 950 km east of Da Nang, Vietnam, or at latitude 15.3 °N and 117.4 °E, with maximum sustained wind about 95 km./hr. The storm is moving southwest slowly, and has no direct effect on Thailand in this period.
This storm will strengthen. It is make landfall on central Vietnam during 5-6 October and then move pass the lower Northeast and the Central of Thailand. Meanwhile the stronger southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand.
These cause torrential rain with heavy to very heavy in many areas and windy of the Northeast and the East at first and then the lower North, the Central and the South West Coast of the country during 5-8 October. People in the risk areas should beware of the severe weather in the period. The stronger wind waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the upper Gulf and the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore during the period.
Widely scattered thundershowers mostly in Nong Khai, Loei, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin, Si Saket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 23-25 °C. Maximum temperature 33-34 °C.Easterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
