♦ TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures were above normal upto 3°C over most parts of northwest, central and south peninsular India, outside Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh coast, where it is above normal by 35° C. Temperatures were below normal by 24° C over many parts of east and northeast India.The Highest maximum temperature of 38.5°C was recorded at Surendranagar( Gujarat) in the country.
♦ RAINFALL (from 0830 to 1730 hours IST of yesterday): Rainfall has occurred at many places over Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu and at a one or two places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm and above) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Lumding9; Guwahati7; Mayabander5; Sambalpur, Berhampur and
Siliguri3 each; Bhagalpur, Shillong, Rangia, Angul, Balurghat and Halflong2 each; Hirakud, Gorakhpur, Purulia, Kailashahar, Honavar, Cherrapunji, Imphal and Shirali1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Bay of Bengal, north Andaman Sea and eastcentral Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over western Himalayan region, south peninsular India and rest northeast & east India.
♦ The withdrawal line of southwest monsoon continues to pass through Raxaul, Varanasi, Jabalpur, Hoshangabad, Vadodara, Porbandar, Lat. 21.0° N / Long. 67.0° E and Lat. 21.0° N / Long. 60.0° E.
♦ The low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal Odisha now lies over northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of eastcentral Bay of Bengal and associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 3.6 km above mean sea
level.
♦ The upper air cyclonic circulation over eastcentral Arabian sea persists and extending upto 1.5 Km above mean sea level.
