Weather Report India 22 January 2012 Climate Forecast



FOG : Fog/shallow fog has been observed in the morning  hours of today in isolated pockets of Haryana, Delhi, north Rajasthan and sub­Himalayan West Bengal.
TEMPERATURES :  Cold wave along with ground frost conditions are prevailing over most parts of Madhya Pradesh and some parts of northwest India. The stations over plains where temperatures reached to 4°C or less at 0830 hours IST of today are : Amritsar, Hissar, Karnal, Narnaul, Churu, Pillani, Jaipur, Bundi, Chittoregarh, Udaipur, Shahjahnpur, Fatehgarh, Agra, Banda, Datia, Shivpuri, Guna, Rajgarh, Ujjain, Narsingpur, Damoh, Satna, Umaria and Mandla. Minimum temperatures are below normal by 5­7°C over many parts of central India and by 2­ 5°C over  rest parts  of the country  outside east and northeast India where they are above normal   by   2­4°C   and   are   near   normal   over   Andhra   Pradesh.   The  lowest   minimum
temperature of ­1.1°C has been recorded at Churu (Rajasthan) in plains of the country.
RAINFALL : Rain/snowfall  has occurred at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Rainfall  has occured at a few places over northeastern states and at one or two places over Orissa, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amount of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hrs IST of today are: Balasore­2 and Guwahati­1.
♦  CLOUDS : Kalpana­1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of east Jammu & Kashmir and south Andaman Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest western Himalayan region, Punjab and northeastern states.
