Weather Report India 14 January 2012 Climate Forecast



♦   FOG:  Fog/dense fog has been observed over some parts of Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal and northeastern states.
♦   TEMPERATURES:   Severe  cold  wave  conditions  are  prevailing over  some  parts  of Chhattisgarh  and  Maharashtra,  cold  wave  conditions  over  some  parts  of east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa. Minimum temperatures are below normal by 2­3°C over north Andhra   Pradesh,   Jharkhand,   Gangetic   West   Bengal,   southwest   Rajasthan   and   Himachal Pradesh and near  normal over  rest of the country. The  Lowest  minimum temperature  of 0.0°C has been recorded at Churu (Rajasthan) in plains of the country.
♦   RAINFALL :  Light rain/snow has occurred at one or two places over Himachal Pradesh and  Uttarakhand. Rainfall has occurred  at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at one or two places over northeastern states and Tamilnadu. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are:  Noncowry­5,  Carnicobar and Karaikal­2 each and Hutbay­1.
♦  CLOUDS: Kalpana­1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts   of   north   Jammu   &   Kashmir,   southeast   Bay   of   Bengal   and   south   Andaman   Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over  rest western Himalayan region, extreme south peninsular India and northeastern states
