Weather Report India 04 January 2012 Climate Forecast



♦  TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures are below normal by 2­4°C over many parts of Gujarat region, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal & Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura and some parts of Haryana, east Rajasthan, and northern parts of Uttar Pradesh.  They are above normal by 2­4°C over many  parts  of peninsular  India  and  near  normal  elsewhere  over  the  country. The highest maximum temperature of 35.2°C has been recorded at Karwar (Karnataka) and Punalur (Kerala).
♦  RAINFALL :  Light rainfall has occured  at one  or  two  places  over  northeastern  states, West Bengal, Orissa  and Andaman  & Nicobar  islands. Weather  remained  mainly  dry  over  rest parts  of the country.
♦   CLOUDS: Kalpana­1  Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir. Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of   rest   western   Himalayan   region,   Rajasthan,   central,   east   and   northeast   India.
