BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:00)hrs MST today, the cyclonic storm " THANE" over Southeast Bay adjoining Southwest Bay, is centered at about (380)miles Southeast of Chennai, India (about (710) miles Southwest of Pathein, about (560) miles Southwest of Coco Island, Myanmar). It is likely to intensify and forecast to move Northwest wards. Weather is cloudy in the South and Central Bay and partly cloudy in the Andaman sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th DECEMBER, 2011: Weather will be partly cloudy in Kachin, Kayin and Mon States and isolated rain in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%)
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (55-60) mph.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of isolated rain in the Coastal Areas.
