Synoptic Situation: The severe cyclone storm “THANE” with a core of Hurricane wind over Southwest Bay and adjoining area moved westwards, crossed Tamilnadu coast of India and now lies over Punducherry and adjoining area. It system is likely to move in westerly direction further Inland and weaken gradually by giving precipitation. Ridge of Sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal of India.
Forecast: Weather is likely to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky over the country. Light to moderate fog may occur over the country during mid night till morning.
Temperature: Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
