♦ Fog: Shallow fog has been observed in the isolated pockets of west Uttar Pradesh and Delhi at 0530 hrs IST of today. The stations where visibility reduced to 500m and below are; Bareilly, Palam (Delhi) and Agra.
♦ RAINFALL : Rainfall occurred at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at one or two places over Kerala. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Port Blair 3 and Punalur 2.
♦ TEMPERATURES:Yesterday maximum temperatures were above normal by 46°C over Saurashtra & Kutch and by 35°C over remaining parts of the country outside Madhya Pradesh, south Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Orissa, Gangetic West Bengal and west coast where they were near normal.Yesterday the highest maximum temperature of 35.9°C was recoded at Porbandar (Gujarat) in plains of the country.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of southeast Arabian sea and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, west Rajasthan, northeastern states and extreme south peninsular India.
