FOG: At 0830 hours IST of today, shallow fog was observed over  isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and northwest  Madhya Pradesh.
♦   RAINFALL :  Rainfall   has occurred at many places over Tamilnadu and at a few places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts
of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm or  more )  recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Cuddalore­9, Puducherry and Vedaranniyam­3 each and Karaikal, Nagapattinam, Atiramapattinam, Pamban, Port Blair and  Hut­Bay­1 each.
♦   TEMPERATURES:  Maximum  temperatures   rose   by   2­3°C   over   some   parts   of   northwest  Madhya Pradesh  and  adjoining  southwest Uttar  Pradesh, fell  by  2­3°C  over  some  parts  of Jammu  & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, west Rajasthan, Tamilnadu and Kerala and changed a little elsewhere. They are above normal by 2­3°C over many parts of east & northeast India, east Uttar Pradesh, south Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and some parts of Karnataka and Kerala. They are below normal by 2­3°C over some parts of Tamilnadu and near normal over remaining parts of the country. The  highest maximum temperature of 36.2°C has been  recorded at Karwar ( Karnataka) in the country.
♦  CLOUDS: Kalpana­1 cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Tamilnadu, south Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea, Comorin area and south & central Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest western Himalayan region, Punjab, west Maharashtra and rest south Peninsular India.
