♦ The withdrawal line of monsoon continues to pass through Lat. 27.0°N / Long. 84.0°E, Balia, Umaria,
Jabalpur, Indore, Baroda, Veraval, Lat. 21.0°N / Long. 65.0°E and Lat. 21.0°N / Long. 60.0°E.
♦ Due to available of high moisture contents in atmosphere the monsoon is not likely to withdraw
further from eastern parts of the country and remaining parts of central India during next 2 days.


Main Weather Observations:

♦ From 0830 hours IST of yesterday to 0830 hours IST of today, scattered rainfall has occured over Jammu & Kashmir and
Tamilnadu and isolated over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, northwest Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, northeastern
states, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha,
Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country.
The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm and above) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Karaikal­-4, Cuddalore­-3, Paradip &
Nagapattinam­-2 each and Satna­-1.
♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2­-3°C over many parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, north Madhya Pradesh,
Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal & Sikkim and north Maharashtra and some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Uttar
Pradesh; below normal by 2-­3°C over isolated pockets of west Rajasthan, Kutch, Chhattisgarh and north coastal Tamilnadu and
near normal over remaining parts of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 17.0°C has been recorded at Khandwa
(Madhya Pradesh) in plains of the country.
