♦ Southwest monsoon has been active over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Marathawada and north interior Karnataka.
♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Jharkhand and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over Chhattisgarh, Kerala and Lakshadweep and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (2 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Imphal10; Nanded and Kavali7 each; Ranchi6; Jalpaiguri, Dharmshala and Kolkata5 each; Bangalore, Honavar Tuni and Car Nicobar4 each; Aurangabad, Kailashahar, Lengpui, Daltonganj, Nandigama, Karipur and Mayabandar3 each and Pendra, Pune, Chittorgarh, Washim, Osmanabad, Bhira, Bijapur, Bellary, Shirali, Puducherry, Atiramapatnam, Cannur, Palakkad and Jamshedpur2 each.
♦ TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are below normal by 2°C at a few few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and south interior Karnataka. They are above normal by 23°C at many places over Gujarat and west Madhya Pradesh;
at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, north Tamilnadu, north interior Karnataka, eastcentral & southeast Arabian sea, westcentral & south Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Punjab, Haryana, west Rajasthan and Gujarat.
