♦ Southwest monsoon was vigorous over Gangetic West Bengal and active over Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and coastal Karnataka.
♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers occurred at most places over Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha; at many places over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Konkan & Goa, coastal Karnataka and Jharkhand; at a few places over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Telangana and at isolated places over SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Tripura and Jammu & Kashmir. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (3 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Sagar13, Haldia5, Titlagarh, Kailashahar, Kolkatta(ALP), Canning and Diamond Harbour4 each and Agumbe, Digha, Jamshedpur, Baripada, Balasore, Guna and Rajgarh3 each.
♦ TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures were below normal by 25°C at many places over Madhya Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal and at few places over Jammu & Kashmir and coastal Andhra Pradesh. They were
above normal by 25°C at many places over Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and at few places over SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and coastal Karnataka and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, south Jharkhand, north Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, northeastern states, Vidarbha, north & adjoining central Bay of Bengal and southeast Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
