♦   RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers   occurred   at most places over east Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and along west coast; at  many places  over Kerala, Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal & Sikkim, Saurashtra & Kutch, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar  islands;  at  a  few places  over  northeastern  states, Bihar,  Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh  and  at isolated places over  Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Telangana and Tamilnadu. The  chief amounts of rainfall (2 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of  yesterday were:  Vijaywada­6; Bilaspur, Brahmapuri and Titlagarh­5   each;   Raipur   ,   Bapatla   and   Una­3   each;   Chittorgarh,   Jhansi,   Bhawani   Patna,   Phulbani, Berhampur, Sambalpur, Shantiniketan, Malda, Mahabaleshwar, Bhira, Jabalpur, Udgir and Gondia­2  each.

♦ TEMPERATURES: Yesterday maximum temperatures were below normal by 2­4°C at many places over west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, east Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh; and at a few places over northeastern states, Kerala and west Uttar Pradesh. They were above normal by 2­3°C at many places over  coastal Karnataka and coastal Kerala and at one or two places over Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jammu & Kashmir and
Himachal Pradesh and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.

♦ Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir,   Rajasthan,   Madhya   Pradesh,   Chhattisgarh,   Himachal   Pradesh,   Uttarakhand,   north   Andhra Pradesh, north Tamilnadu, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, northeastern states, central & south Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
