TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures are below normal by 6­8°C over many parts of  central India and by 2­5 C over  parts of northwest & west India, Bihar, Jharkhand and interior Odisha.  They are above normal by about 2°C over some parts of south Gujarat, coastal Karnataka and south Andhra Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. The highest maximum temperature of 42.6°C has been recorded at Churu (Rajasthan) in the country.

RAINFALL:  Rainfall  has occurred  at many places over  east  Uttar   Pradesh  and   along  west  coast;   at  a  few  places  over  Himachal   Pradesh,  Uttarakhand, northeastern states, Madhya Maharashtra, south Gujarat and Lakshadweep and at one or two places over rest parts of the country outside Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh where weather remained mainly dry. The chief amounts  of  rainfall  (2  cm or more)  recorded at  1730  hours IST  of today  are: Bhagalpur­11, Bhira, Kodaikanal­4 each, Sultanpur, Purnea and Agartala­3 each, Mukteshwar, Diu, Alibag and Silchar­2 each.

♦   Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya   Pradesh,   Bihar,   north   Chhattisgarh,   Jharkhand,   north   Odisha,   West   Bengal   &   Sikkim,   Assam   & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Bay of Bengal, north Andaman sea and southeast Arabian sea. Low /medium
clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
