♦ TEMPERATURES: Yesterday maximum temperatures were above normal by 24° C over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, north Rajasthan, Haryana, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, northeastern states, Bihar and coastal Karnataka. They were below normal by 58° C over some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Telangana and by 24°
C over Uttarakhand, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, north interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu. They were near normal over remaining parts of the country. The highest Maximum temperature of 45.0°C was recorded at Churu
(Rajasthan). Today,s minimum temperatures are below normal by 23° C over some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, interior Maharashtra and at one or two places over Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh. They are above normal by 23°
C over many parts of western Himalayan region, Rajasthan and some parts of Bihar, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Gujarat region and near normal over rest parts of the country.
♦ RAINFALL:Rainfall has occurred at most places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, east Madhya Pradesh, interior Maharashtra, along west coast and Lakshadweep; at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttar
Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, interior Karnataka, west Bengal & Sikkim, northeastern states and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh and at one or two places over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (4 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Pantnagar and Titlagarh15 each, Dehradun12, Tehri10, Puri, Passighat and Rajnandgaon9 each, Koraput and Bhira8 each, Nagpur, Mumbai, Mangalore, Gangtok, Golaghat, Mahabaleshwar, Halflong, Chandrapur, Gondia and Jorhat7 each, Mumbai(Colaba), Guwahati, Cherrapunji, Yeotmal and Palakkod6 each, Fursatgunj, Bhopal, Ratnagiri, Bhawanipatna and Osmanabad5
each and Sultanpur, Sundernagar, Kozikode, Bramhapuri, Wardha, Tadong, Gopalpur, Gopalpur and Tadong4 each.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, south Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, north interior Karnataka, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, north & adjoining central Bay of Bengal and east central Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Punjab.
