♦ TEMPERATURE: Minimum temperatures are above normal by 24° C over many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Marathawada. They are below normal by 23° C over many parts of Odisha and some parts of Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha and near normal over rest of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 8.0°C has been recorded at Rewa (Madhya Pradesh) in plains of the country.♦ TEMPERATURE: Minimum temperatures are above normal by 24° C over many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Marathawada. ♦ RAINFALL :Rain/snow occurred at most places over Jammu & Kashmir and at a few places over Himachal Pradesh and at one or two places over Uttarakhand. Rain occurred at one or two places over Punjab, Haryana, north Rajasthan and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained mainly dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more ) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Katra, Batote, Jammu, Banihal, Qazigund, Kupwara and Kokarnag2 each and Dehradun, Tehri, Srinagar, Manali, Churu, Badarwa, Pahalgaon, Chandigarh and Bhiwani1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over many parts of western Himalayan region, some parts of southeast Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest western Himalayan region, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.
♦ The western disturbance as a trough in midlevel westerlies along longitude 67.0°E and north of latitude 20.0°N persists.
♦ An induced cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan in lower levels persists.
♦ Moisture incursion is taking places over northwest and central India from Arabian sea and Bay of Bengal.
