TEMPERATURE: Minimum temperatures rose by 23° C over many parts of central and north peninsular India. They fell by 12° C over some parts of extreme peninsular India and isolated pockets of northwest India and northeastern states. The lowest minimum temperature of 6.6°C has been recorded at Adampur (Punjab) in the plains of country.
RAINFALL : Rainfall occurred at a few places over Tamilnadu and Kerala and at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The significant amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Kottayam, Palayankottai and Nancowry1
each.
CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows low/medium clouds over some parts of western Himalayan region, west Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh,
Tamilnadu and Kerala.
The western disturbance would affect Western Himalayan region and adjoining plains of northwest India from tomorrow onwards.
The trough of low over southeast Arabian sea persists.
The upper air cyclonic circulation over Assam & Meghalaya between 1.5 km and 2.1 km above mean sea level persists.
