♦ TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are recorded 10°C or less over many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. They are below normal by 24° C over these regions. In addition minimum temperatures are below normal by 24° C over many parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa and north interior Karnataka. The lowest Minimum temperature of 7.0°C has been recorded at Karnal (Haryana) in plains of the country.
♦ RAINFALL : Light rainfall has occurred at one or two places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry over rest of the country.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, north Himachal Pradesh, northcoastal Andhra Pradesh, westcentral & adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of western Himalayan region and parts of Punjab, Haryana, Odisha, Rayalaseema and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
♦ The well marked low pressure area over westcentral Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood now lies over westcentral and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal off south Andhra Pradesh and north Tamilnadu coasts.
♦ The western disturbance as an upper air system over Jammu & Kashmir and neighbourhood persists. The western disturbance would move away eastnortheastwards during next 24 hours.
♦ Another western disturbance as an upper air system lies over north Pakistan and neighbourhood.
