♦ RAINFALL : Rainfall occurred at many places over northeastern states, Odisha and coastal Karnataka; at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal and south Chhattisgarh and at one or two places over north Andhra Pradesh, interior Maharashtra, south Konkan & Goa and Lakshadweep. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (2 cm and above) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Passighat8, Digha and Kolkata(Alipore)5 each, Karwar4, Burdwan, Cherrapunji, Bhubaneswar, Pune and Baripada3 each, Itanagar, North Lakhimpur, Kolkata(Dum Dum), Bhira, Vengurla, Vishakhapatnam and Kailashahar2 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and north Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, rest northeast and east India, rest Maharashtra, north interior Karnataka and north Andhra Pradesh.
♦ Rain/thundershowers would occur at many places over northeastern states and Konkan & Goa.
♦ Rain/thundershowers would occur at a few places over West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, north Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and north Karnataka.
♦ Rain/thundershowers would occur at one or two places over Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar, Jharkhand, east Madhya Pradesh, south Gujarat region and Vidarbha during next 24 hours and mainly dry weather thereafter.
♦ Rain/thundershowers would occur at one or two places over rest peninsular India and Lakshadweep.
♦ Weather would be mainly dry over rest of the country.
♦ Due to high moisture contents monsoon is not likely to withdraw from central and adjoining east India during next 23
days.
♦ The withdrawal line of southwest monsoon continues to pass through Lat. 29.0° N / Long. 81.0° E, Kheri, Kanpur, Guna, Ratlam, Vallabh Vidhyanagar, Porbandar, Lat. 21.0° N / Long. 67.0° E and Lat . 21.0°N / Long. 60.0 E.
