♦   TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures fell by 2­4°C over  some parts of south Punjab, Haryana, east Rajasthan and Konkan & Goa and rose by 2­4°C over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, north Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastal Orissa and changed little elsewhere. They are above normal  by 2­5°C over most parts of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh; many  parts  of east and northeast India,   Andhra   Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand and over some parts of north Tamilnadu, north Karnataka and Delhi.  They are below normal by 2­3°C over west Rajasthan and near normal over rest parts of the country. The highest maximum temperature of 40.5°C has been recorded at Bhira (Maharashtra) in the plains of the country.
 RAINFALL:  Rain/snowfall has occurred at many places over Jammu & Kashmir. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at   1730 hours IST of today is: Quazigund­1.
♦   CLOUDS:  Kalpana­1 cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of  Jammu & Kashmir, north Himachal Pradesh, south Andaman Sea, south Bay of Bengal and southeast Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest   western   Himalayan   region,   Sikkim,   northeastern   states   and   south   peninsular India.
