♦   TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures rose by 4­6°C over many parts of Gangetic West Bengal   and Jharkhand; by 2­3°C over  some parts of east Uttar  Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Uttarakhand and changed a little elsewhere over the country. They are below normal by 2­5°C over many parts of plains of northwest & central India and Gujarat; above normal by 2­3°C over many parts of West Bengal and northeastern states and some parts  of western  Himalayan  region  and  peninsular  India  and  near  normal  elsewhere. The highest  Maximum temperature  of  36.5°C  has been recorded at  Bellary (Karnataka)  in
plains of the country.
♦  RAINFALL: Rainfall has occurred at one or two places over Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country.The chief amount of rainfall (in cm) recorded at1730 hours IST of today is: Tadong­1.
♦  CLOUDS: Kalpana­1 cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of  western Himalayan region and southeast Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest western Himalayan region, Punjab, Haryana, north Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, Orissa, Sikkim, northeastern states and south peninsular India
