♦ TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures rose by 35°C over Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Delhi, west Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh and north Maharashtra; by 23°C over east Madhya Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Cold wave conditions are still prevailing over some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, parts of central and east India where temperatures are below normal by 5°C. They are above normal by 23°C over some pockets of Jammu & Kashmir, west Rajasthan, and south peninsular India and are near normal over rest part of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 4.3°C has been recorded at Narnaul (Haryana) in the
plains of the country.
♦ RAINFALL : Rain/snowfall has occured at most places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand. Rainfall has occured at few places over Kerala and at one or two places over Punjab, Haryana, Orissa, Tamilnadu and Lakshadweep. Chief amounts of rainfall in (cm) are: Alappuzha, Kottayam3 each, Kochi 2 and Kupwara, Pahalgam, Gopalpur, Punalur and Kottarakkara 1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir and Kerala. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest western Himalayan region, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and south peninsular Indi
