♦ FOG: Fog/shallow fog was observed over isolated pockets of Punjab, east Utter Pradesh, Bihar, SubHimalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and northeastern states. At 0830 hours IST Gangtok and Jalpaiguri reported visibility of less than 200 M.
♦ TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures fell by 25°C over many parts of east Madhya Pradesh, north Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand and some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Assam; rose by 23°C over many parts of Himachal Pradesh and some parts of Konkan and north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere in the country. The highest maximum temperature of 33.0°C has been recorded at Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh) in noncoastal areas of the country.
♦ RAINFALL : Rain/snowfall has occured at one or two places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Rainfall has occured at a few places over east Madhya Pradesh and north Chattisgarh and at one or two places over SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, west Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Orissa. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of precipitation in (cm) are; Betul and Jabalpur1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and south Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, northeastern states, east Maharashtra and central & east India.
