Weather Report India 27 January 2012 Climate Forecast




FOG: Fog/shallow fog  was observed over isolated pockets of Punjab, east Utter Pradesh, Bihar, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and northeastern states. At 0830 hours IST Gangtok and  Jalpaiguri  reported visibility of less than 200 M.
TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures fell by 2­5°C over many parts of east Madhya Pradesh, north Chhattisgarh and  Jharkhand and some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Assam; rose by 2­3°C  over many parts of Himachal Pradesh and some parts of Konkan and north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little  elsewhere   in  the  country. The  highest   maximum  temperature of   33.0°C  has  been  recorded   at Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh) in non­coastal areas of the country.
♦  RAINFALL : Rain/snowfall  has occured at one or two places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Rainfall  has occured at a few places over east Madhya Pradesh and north Chattisgarh and at one or two places over Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, west Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Orissa.   Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of precipitation in (cm) are; Betul and Jabalpur­1 each.
♦  CLOUDS: Kalpana­1 Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and south Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, northeastern states, east Maharashtra and central & east India.
