♦ Fog: Fog/dense fog has been observed over some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, north Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and isolated pockets of Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal and Assam. The stations where visibility recorded as 50 m or less recorded at 0830 hours IST are: Ludhiana, Patiala, Ambala, Hissar, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Delhi, Sriganganagar, Pilani, Meerut, Aligarh, Agra and Gaya.
♦ TEMPERATURES: Cold wave conditions are prevailing over isolated pockets of west Uttar Pradesh, southeast Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh. The minimum temperatures fell by 24°C over some pockets of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Parts of Utter Pradesh, some parts of Gujarat, south east Rajasthan, west Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh; rose by 2°C over isolated pockets of west Haryana south west Madhya Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They are below normal by 26°C over Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, east Maharashtra, Karnataka,Telangana, west Orissa and changed little elsewhere. They were below normal by 24°C over many parts of Punjab, south Rajasthan west Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra , Karnataka and Tamilnadu and some parts of Haryana, west Utter Pradesh and Gujarat region ; above normal by 24°C over many parts of east & north east India and north Rajasthan and near normal over rest parts of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 1.5°C has been recorded at Narnaul (Haryana) in planes of the country.
♦ RAINFALL : Rain/snowfall has occurred at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, at a few places Himachal Pradesh and at one or two places over Uttarakhand. Rainfall has occured at one or two places over east Utter Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, northeastern states, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hrs IST of today are: Batote4, Kokarnag3, Banihal and Baderwah2 each and Pahalgam, Dharamsala and Bankura 1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of northeast Jammu & Kashmir, southeast Bay of Bengal and south Andaman Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest western Himalayan region, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, east & northeast India, Konkan and south peninsular India.
