♦ TEMPERATURES: Cold day condition has been observed over many parts of Punjab, Haryana & Delhi, some parts of west Uttar Pradesh and isolated pockets of north Rajasthan. The stations where maximum temperatures of 16.0°C or less recorded are: Ludhiana, Patiala, Ambala, Karnal, Hissar, Bhiwani, Pilani, Narnaul, Delhi, Merrut and Agra. Maximum temperatures are below normal by 47°C over most parts of Punjab, Haryana & Delhi and over some parts of north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, by 23°C over rest Rajasthan, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and northeastern states. They are above normal by 23°C over parts of Orissa, Chhattisgarh and adjoining east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Karnataka.
♦ RAINFALL: Light rain/snowfall has occurred at one or two places over western Himalayan Region. Light rainfall has occurred at a few places over northeastern States and at one or two places over Bihar.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of southeast Bay of Bengal and south Andaman Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of western Himalayan region, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, extreme south peninsular India and northeastern state.
