♦  TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures fell by 2­7°C over Rajasthan, Haryana, West Utter Pradesh,
rose   by   2­3°C   over   Jammu   &   Kashmir,   Madhya   Maharashtra,   Vidarbha,   adjoining   Andra   Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim. and changed little rest parts of the country. They are below normal by 7­8°C over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, 4­6°C over Punjab and Haryana, 2­ 3°C   Rajasthan   and   2­3°C   above   normal   over   Madhya   Pradesh,   Maharashtra   and   Bihar.and   normal elsewhere over the country. The highest maximum temperature of 34.4°C has been recorded at Shirali
( coastal Karnataka)in plains of the country.
♦  RAINFALL: Rain/snowfall has occurred at most places over Jammu & Kashmir, at many places Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand. Rainfall has occurred at a few places over Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh, at one or two places over Haryana and Andaman & Nicobar Islands . Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded  at 1730 hours  IST of today  are: Noncowry­5, Qazigund  , Dhamsala, Banihal­3   each, Jammu, Batote, Kukurnag, Katra and Pahalgaon­2  each and Una 1.
♦  CLOUDS: Kalpana­1 Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over  parts of Jammu & Kashmir  southeast Bay of Bengal and south Andaman Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest western Himalayan region, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, extreme south peninsular India and north eastern states
