♦ TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures rose by 12°C over parts of northwest, central and east India. They are above normal by 35°C over many parts of Rajasthan. They are below normal by 45°C over parts of north Orissa, Jharkhand, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Chhattisgarh and some parts of northeastern states; by 23°C over parts of Madhya Pradesh, north Maharashtra, Karnataka and east Uttar Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country.The highest maximum temperature of 34.8°C recorded at Karwar (Coastal Karnataka).
♦ RAINFALL: Rainfall has occured at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are Carnicobar8 and Noncowry2.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir and southeast Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest western Himalayan region, Punjab, Haryana, north Rajasthan, extreme south peninsular India and Arunachal Pradesh
