Weather Report Sri Lanka 26 December 2011 Climate Forecast



The depression in the Bay of Bengal was still located about 600 km East of Batticaloa coast at 08.00a.m, today . 
Under the influence of the depression, intermittent rain, very strong winds and very rough conditions are expected in the sea areas, especially deep seas, extending from Jaffna to Potuvil via Trincomalee and Batticaloa. Therefore, the above sea areas is still not safe for the fishing and naval activities. 
Fairly strong winds with light showers are expected in the Eastern, Northern, North-central, and Uva provinces and along the Eastern slopes of the Central hills. There will be scattered showers in the Southern, Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces too.
