♦   TEMPERATURES:  Maximum temperatures  are  below  normal  by  2­4°C  over  parts  of Haryana, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, south interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and are above normal by 2­4°C over  many places of rest parts of the country.   The highest maximum temperature of 35.8°C has been recorded  at Sirali (Karnataka) in the plains of the country.

♦  RAINFALL : Rainfall has occurred at most places over   north Tamilnadu; at many places over  Rayalaseema and south coastal Andhra Pradesh; at a few places over rest Tamilnadu and south interior Karnataka and at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Puducherry­9, Chennai (Minambakkam)­7, Vellore­4, Numgambakkam, Nellore and Tirupathi­3 each and Salem, Arogyavaram, Tiruchchirapalli and Dharmapuri ­1 each.
♦  CLOUDS: Kalpana­1 Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of south Andhra Pradesh, north Tamilnadu and south interior Karnataka.  Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of western Himalayan region, northeastern states, central and adjoining east and rest peninsular India.
