SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED : During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in the whole country. Night temperatures were (5°C) below December average temperature in Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C)above December average temperatures in Taninthayi Region, Shan and Mon States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were Putao and Pinlaung (2°C)each, Heho and Hakha (4°C) each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy in the South Bay and West Central Bay and Partly cloudy in the Andaman sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th DECEMBER, 2011: Weather will be partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and likelihood of isolated rain in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%)
STATE OF THE SEA: Squally with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of night temperature in the whole country.
