Weather Report 22 December 2011 India Climate Forecast



♦  TEMPERATURES: Cold day conditions prevailed over  many parts east Uttar Pradesh and over some parts of west Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The stations where maximum temperatures recorded as 16°C or less are Fatehgarh, Hardoi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Bahraich, Fursatganj, Sultanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Patna, Bhagalpur and Purnea. Maximum temperatures fell by 2­3°C over some parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Bengal and rose by 2­3°C over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and changed little elsewhere in the country. They are below normal by 5­12°C over many parts of east Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and by 2­5°C over some parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Assam and are above normal by 2­4°C over some parts of Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh and near normal over the remaining parts of the country. Highest maximum temperature of 32.6°C is recorded at Bidar (Karnataka)  in the plains of the country.
♦ RAINFALL (from 0830 hours IST to 1730 hours IST of today):  Weather remained mainly dry over the country.
♦  CLOUDS: Kalpana­1 Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of  north Jammu & Kashmir, south Bay of Bengal, Comorin area and southeast Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest western Himalayan region, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh and  south peninsular India.
