Weather Report 21 December 2011 Myanmar Climate Forecast



SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah  and  Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) above December average temperatures in Mon State, (3°C) to (4°C) below December average temperatures in Mandalay, Bago  and Taninthayi  Regions, Northern Shan, Chin  and Rakhine States  and (7°C) below December average temperatures in Kachin State and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperature were Hakha (0°C), Nansam (2°C), Pinlaung (3°C), Putao and Moekok(4°C) each,  Katha and Pyinoolwin (5°C) each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is Partly cloudy to cloudy in the South Bay and West Central Bay and partly cloudy in the Andaman sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 21th DECEMBER, 2011: Weather will be generally fair  in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Chin States and partly cloudy in  the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times  Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong wind may reach (30) m.p.h. Seas will be slight to moderate  elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Generally fair weather in the whole country.
