♦ FOG: Fog/shallow fog has been observed over isolated pockets of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam and Haryana in morning hours of today, the 30th November 2011.
♦ The stations where visibility reduced to 500 m are; Karnal, Lucknow, Varanasi, Patna and Majbat.
♦ RAINFALL: Rainfall has occurred at many places over Tamilnadu; at a few places over Kerala and Karnataka and at one or two places over Konkan, Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and northeastern states. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Kanyakumari and Punalur3 each and Kottayam1.
♦ TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures fell by 12°C over many parts of northwest, central, west and
northeast India during past 24 hours. They are above normal by 47°C over many parts of Gujarat and Maharashtra and isolated places over north Interior Karnataka, Telangana, northwest Rajasthan and northeastern states and by 23°C over remaining parts of the country except east Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa, Chhattisgarh and Gangetic West Bengal where they are near normal. The lowest minimum temperature of 7.0°C was recoded at Amritsar (Punjab) in plains of the country.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of north and
South East Arabian Sea ,South Andaman Sea,Comorin area and south Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over western Himalayan region, northeastern states and south peninsular India.
