♦ From 0830 to 1730 hours IST of today, the northeast monsoon remained active over Kerala and Tamilnadu during past 24 hours. Rainfall has occured at most places over Kerala and Lakshadweep; at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, central & south interior Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over Telengana and north interior Karnataka and at one or two places over SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Orissa, south Konkan & Goa and south Madhya Maharashtra. Weather remained mainly dry over remaining parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (2 cm and above) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Kozhikode5, Kottayam4, Nellore, Kavali, Punalur, Madikeri, Dhrmapuri and Coonoor3 each and Anantapur, Ongole, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Kodaikanal, Karaikal and Nagapattinam2 each.
♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 23°C over some parts of SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Saurashtra & Kutch, south Madhya Maharashtra, north interior Karnataka and Telangana and isolated pockets of Kashmir, south Uttar Pradesh, west & northeast Madhya Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and below normal by 23°C over some parts of planes of north Rajasthan, rest Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, southeast Madhya Pradesh, north Chhattisgarh and Orissa and isolated pockets of Jammu division, coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastal Tamilnadu. They are near normal over remaining parts of the
country. The lowest minimum temperature of 11.5°C has been recorded at Rohtak (Haryana) and Najibabad (Uttar Pradesh) in plains of the country.
♦ Kalpana1 cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of northeast Jammu & Kashmir, Telengana, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Lakshadweep , south Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and central & south Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest western Himalayan region, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and rest peninsular India
