♦  TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures rose by 2­4°C over Jammu & Kashmir and some parts of Himachal Pradesh, north interior Karnataka and isolated pockets of Telangana; fell by  about 2°C over isolated pockets of east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Maharashtra.   They are above normal by 2­4°C over many parts of Rajasthan and isolated pockets of Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat and west Madhya Pradesh; below normal by 2­4°C over some parts of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, interior Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and Gangetic West Bengal and isolated pockets of Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Assam & Meghalaya.  The lowest minimum  temperature of 12.0°C has been recorded at Malegaon (Maharashtra) in plains of the country.
♦  RAINFALL: Light rain/snow has occurred at one or two places over  Jammu & Kashmir. Rainfall has occurred at most places over Tamilnadu and south
coastal Andhra Pradesh; at many places over Kerala, Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep; at a few places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and   Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at one or two places over Telangana and west Rajasthan. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (4 cm and above) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Tondi­26, Kavali­13, Ongole and Karaikal­11 each, Puducherry­10, Cuddalore­9, Nellore­8, Attiramapattinam­7, Arakkonam, Nagapattinam, Pamban  and Coonoor­6 each, Chennai, Tirupathi, Vedaranniyam, Minicoy  and Tuticorin­5  each, Vellore  and Punalur­4 each.
♦  CLOUDS: Kalpana­1:  Cloud  imagery  at  0830  hours  IST  shows  convective  clouds  over  parts  of  Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu,  south Kerala,  southwest &  westcentral Bay  of Bengal  and  southeast Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of  rest western Himalayan region, Punjab, west Rajasthan and rest south peninsular India.
♦  Northeast  monsoon   has   been   vigorous   over  Tamilnadu,   south   Andhra   Pradesh   and   Kerala during past 24 hours.
♦  The trough of low from Comorin area to Andhra Pradesh coast across coastal Tamilnadu persists. The upper air  cyclonic   circulation   over  Comorin   area  and  neighbourhood   extending   upto  mid  tropospheric   levels  also persists.
♦   Another trough of low extends from Lakshadweep area to eastcentral Arabian Sea off Maharashtra coast. Under its influence a low pressure area may develop over southeast Arabian Sea during next 48 hours.
♦   The  western  disturbance  as  an  upper  air  system  now  lies  over  north Pakistan  and  adjoining  Jammu & Kashmir. An induced upper air cyclonic circulation in lower levels lies over west Rajasthan and neighbourhood.
