TEMPERATURE: Maximum temperatures are below normal by 2­3°C over some parts of Gangetic   West   Bengal.   They   are   above   normal   by   2­5°C   over   many   parts   of   Gujarat, Rajasthan,Western Himalayan regions, Assam & Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh and some parts of west coast, central  and rest northwest India and near normal over remaining parts of the country.   The highest  maximum  temperature  of 36.2°C  has been recorded at  Punalur (Kerala) in plains of the country.
RAINFALL:Light rainfall has occurred at one  or two  places  over Andaman &  Nicobar  islands  and  Gangetic West Bengal. Weather remained mainly dry over rest of the country.
CLOUDS: Kalpana­1 Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over  some parts  of   Jammu & Kashmir,  Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Manipur,  south Assam & Meghalaya, southeast Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest western Himalayan regions, Punjab, rest Rajasthan, West Bengal and northeastern states.
♦   The western disturbance as an upper air system over Afghanistan and neighbourhood persists. The system would affect northwest India from tomorrow onwards.
♦  The upper air cyclonic circulation over Assam and neighbourhood  extending upto 2.1 km above mean sea level persists.
♦   The  upper  air trough from  northeast Arabian  sea to  southeast  Rajasthan  with  embedded   cyclonic circulation over Gujarat region and neighbourhood in lower levels persists.
