♦ TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures were above normal by 24° C over many parts of Jammu & Kashmir; some parts of Gujarat, west coasts and Assam & Meghalaya and isolated pockets of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, interior Maharashtra, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, south Tamilnadu, SubHimalayan West Bengal and Manipur. They were below normal by about 2°C over isolated pockets of east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and interior Odisha and near normal over rest parts of the country. The Highest maximum temperature of 36.4°C was recorded at Karwar (Karnataka) in plains of the country.
♦ RAINFALL: Rainfall occurred at most places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The rainfall amounts (1 cm and above) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Mayabander and Carnicobar1 each.
